Ready for an AMRA Outing???
AMRA is having the first outing for 2015 on February 28th- March 1st at our Ratchilla Claim (weather permitting). Everyone is welcome! This is a great opportunity to meet other members and hear their stories. This will also allow the general public the opportunity to learn what AMRA does for miners and all forest users, so we encourage all members to join us and bring their family, friends, co-workers & neighbors. All AMRA outings are open to the general public and are family friendly, so bring the kids and grandkids.
We will have a lot of fun with many great prizes to be given away at the outing and throughout the year. For every $1.00 donation you make you will be provided with one ticket that will be entered into a drawing for one or several chances to win We have been talking with some vendors to provide us with some very cool prizes, Gold, AMRA Gear, a .22 caliber rifle and a Sierra Blaster beginner’s kit, just to name a few. Our president, Shannon Poe, will be attending to provide an update of AMRA’s achievements and goals, along with other board members to help teach mining techniques and answer questions.
There will be instructional times set aside for new miners to learn how to pan, highbank and mine for gold. AMRA’s staff is highly experienced and we want to provide you with an amazing time, experience and education.
Our Ratchilla Claim has a rich gold history, along with a great camping area, so stay the night and gather with us around the campfire after a day of gold mining and metal detecting. Dress warm as it can be a little chilly at night. Due to the recent rain there is plenty of water in the creek. If this changes, water will be brought in.
We are looking forward to this outing and others we will have throughout the year. AMRA will be happy to accept any donation of items that can be used for future prizes that will generate funds to fight for our rights to access the forest our Forefathers have put aside for us to enjoy.
Please remember, we ask all who use the public lands to always take out more than you brought in. Let’s work together to keep the lands clean!
Looking forward to it!
